The Word of God…we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (Romans 8:37)

The last few weeks of 2011 found me looking at and examining my relationship with God. I have not been as faithful as I wanted to be during the year. Yes, I prayed, I studied my bible and even read it during the year. But, I fell short when it came to having a daily relationship with Him. There were many days that I let other things get in my way of having devotion and prayer, spending that precious time with Him that is essential for my growth.

I gave up making resolutions for the New Year years ago because before the month was over my resolutions would have fallen by the wayside. So I am not making a new year resolution, but I am purposing in my heart that 2012 will be different than last year for the growth in my relationship with God. I purpose to spend more time in prayer, studying my Bible and witnessing to others. Through Christ I am a conqueror and I know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 3:13).

I have accepted a challenge from my Pastor to read the Bible through during the new year. January 4th through the 13th, I have given a challenge to myself to spend those days in prayer, along with my denomination in a world-wide prayer initiative called “Operation Global Rain.” I will be praying for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon myself, the church and all that God will use to move His message forward. This is only the beginning for me.

Pray for me and with me as I explode in 2012 into the new creature that God has created within me.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

” A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work. There must be earnest effort to obtain the blessing of the Lord, not because God is not willing to bestow His blessing upon us, but because we are unprepared to receive it. It is our work, by confession, humiliation, repentance, and earnest prayer to fulfill the conditions upon which God has promised to grant us His blessing. A revival need be expected only in answer to prayer” (Selected Messages, bk. 1. p. 121).

These are my spiritual goals for 2012. I will be sharing my business and personal goals for the New Year with you.
